Saltery Bay, BC, Canada is a major entry point to the Sunshine Coast serviced by the BC Ferry Terminal connecting the upper and lower portions of the Sunshine Coast.
From the city of Vancouver, BC: It is 145 kilometres drive north, a 5.5 hour journey, from the city of Vancouver. You need to board a BC Ferry from Horseshoe Bay (on Vancouver Mainland side) to Langdale (Sunshine Coast side) arriving on the southern most tip of the Sunshine Coast closest to the community of Gibsons. Off the BC Ferry start traveling Highway 101 past Sechelt, BC into Earl's Cove BC Ferry Terminal. Another short BC Ferry ride takes you to Saltery Bay on the lower portion of the upper portion of the Sunshine Coast.
From Comox Valley on Vancouver Island: On central Vancouver Island is the Comox Valley and the Little River BC Ferry Terminal transporting vehicles, cyclists and walk-ons over to Powell River located on the top portion of the Sunshine Coast north of Saltery Bay. It is only a short 35+ km drive south to Saltery Bay from Powell River.
